Light a stick of incense and watch the smoke rise from a balanced cairn. Five stones in soft stone grey sit in quiet equilibrium: a rounded base, a long flat stone and three pebbles that seem to float one above the other.
The long flat stone reaches out like a small tray. It holds the incense stick and catches the ash, so the ritual stays tidy and the ornament stays calm. It is just as lovely without incense, as a minimalist sculptural accent for a desk, bedside table, bookshelf or yoga corner.
A matt finish with the fine layer lines of a made-to-order piece; the five stones arrive glued together and ready to display. It stands 15.5 cm high, 15 cm long and 8.5 cm deep, and suits standard incense sticks (not included). Finished by hand in the UK.
